The stick of the church

On the north wall of the parish church can be seen an incision that corresponds with the measuring stick of the town, which probably dates to the begin- ning of the XIV century. Its existence is evidence of the importance of the urban area as for much of the weighing and measuring system that they used there would have been used throughout the area, acting as custodian for the municipality. Thus, in the bylaws of the town passed in 1538 they prove that “the weights and measurements are competence of the council and to be handed to a person that will guard them”.
